LILAMA10 Joint Stock Company successfully installed the largest valve weighing more than 200 tons in Vietnam at the Cai Lon Cong project under the Cai Lon-Cai Be Irrigation System Project (Kien Giang).
On March 14, 2021 LILAMA10 Joint Stock Company has successfully installed valve gate number 07 which is one of 11 gates of Cai Lon Gate under Cai Lon-Cai Be Irrigation System Project in Kien Giang Province.
This is a monolithic, super-heavy equipment (40m long, 9m high, 203 tons in weight), so it is necessary to use specialized equipment such as 5000 ton barge (84m long, 22m wide), 600 ton crane, ship 3000 tons of cargo to be transported from shore to the installation site.
The valve gate is the most important stage of the irrigation project, it is required to be very precise from the design stage, to the correct position, to ensure that when closed, it must be closed, not leaking, and not penetrating the water. Therefore, it is required to have experience, high technique, with the support of specialized equipment. The valve gate is large and very heavy, and is installed in the middle of the river, so when transporting and installing, it must be subjected to high pressure of flow, tide and high wind, causing difficulties and complications in the implementation process. Cai Lon sluice belongs to Cai Be - Cai Lon Irrigation System, invested by Irrigation Construction and Investment Management Board 10 (Board 10) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, implemented in Binh An Commune, Chau Thanh district, Kien Giang province.

Gate valve and ship lock made of steel, operated by hydraulic cylinder system.
