Package XL01 for construction, supply and installation of Cai Lon sluice equipment is one of the two largest packages under the Cai Lon - Cai Be Irrigation System Project phase 1 and is a project using government bonds. managed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for the period 2017-2020. The winning price is VND 1,733,568 billion, which is a contract with an adjusted unit price, with a duration of 25 months.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in phase 1, the construction of Cai Lon sluice will be carried out with the construction level of grade I; Cai Be sluice (grade II) and build a dike connecting the two sluices with National Highway 61 (grade III). In addition, at this stage, the livelihood model component and non-structural activities in Kien Giang and Hau Giang provinces are also implemented, invested by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development 2 of this locality.

Cai Lon sluice will be built under the Cai Lon riverbed, with a total length of 470 meters, including 11 sluice chambers 40 meters wide/cavity, with a threshold elevation of -3.5 to -6.5 meters; two locks of 15 meters wide/lock, threshold height of -5 meters, going in opposite directions.

Cai Be sluice is built under the Cai Be river bed, with a total length of 85 meters, including 2 compartments 35 meters wide/cavity, threshold height -5 meters and lock 15 meters wide, threshold height -4 meters.

The dyke connecting 2 sluices with National Highway 61 has a total length of 5,843 km and is divided into two phases, including the section from Cai Lon sluice to Cai Be sluice with a length of 1,031 km; The section from Cai Be sluice to National Highway 61 has a length of 4,812 km. The dike surface was built with a width of 9 meters and a height of 2 meters.

In addition, the project also implements ancillary items including: power supply system, work lighting system; monitoring equipment system, operator, reinforced embankment to protect riverbank...
