The Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project is one of Vietnam’s key national infrastructure projects, with a total investment of over VND 9,200 billion. The project is invested by Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and directly managed and operated by Power Project Management Board 1 (EVNPMB1).

The project involves the installation of two generating units with a total capacity of 480 MW, each unit having a capacity of 240 MW. The estimated average annual electricity output is approximately 488.3 million kWh.

The successful installation of the runner wheel — a heavy-duty equipment imported from overseas — is a prerequisite for the continued installation of other key components such as the turbine casing cover, turbine shaft, guide vane ring, and turbine bearing. This also marks an essential preparation step for the rotor assembly of Unit 1, which is scheduled to be completed in June 2025.

This success not only demonstrates LILAMA 10’s technical expertise and project management capabilities but also affirms the company’s strong commitment to executing large-scale and complex projects. It enhances LILAMA 10’s reputation in the electromechanical construction and hydropower sectors both within Vietnam and internationally.
