Huoi Quang Hydropower Plant
The Huoi Quang hydropower project with an installed capacity of 520MW was built on the Nam Mu river in the two provinces of Lai Chau and Son La.
The project is built in 6 years and is expected to generate electricity for unit 1 in 2012, unit 2 in 2013.
In addition to supplying the national power system with an annual electricity output of over 1.9 billion kWh, the project is also associated with the goal of regulating water flow for the lower Red River region, creating a driving force for economic development- society in the Northwest, especially in Lai Chau and Son La provinces.
Investor: Vietnam Electricity Corporation.

Subcontractor: LILAMA10 Joint Stock Company
Construction site: Muong La district, Son La province and Than Uyen district, Lai Chau province.
Total investment of the project: 11,082 billion VND.
Capacity: 2x260MW
Annual power output: 1904 million KWh/year
