The rotor of Unit No. 2, weighing over 600 tons after assembly, was designed, manufactured, and installed with extreme precision to ensure perfect alignment with the stator, turbine, and the plant’s auxiliary systems. The successful completion of this major component paves the way for the next phase — the installation of electromechanical equipment, commissioning, and operation of the unit, scheduled for December 2025.

During the construction process, Lilama 10 undertook a critical scope of work, including the fabrication and installation of all hydro-mechanical components, as well as the manufacture and installation of the pressure pipeline system and key project equipment. Despite the complex construction conditions, the Lilama 10 teammanaged the work scientifically and efficiently, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance throughout the entire process.

The Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project has a total investment of over VND 9,220 billion, comprising two generating units with a total installed capacity of 480 MW (2×240 MW). Once operational, the plant is expected to supply approximately 488–490 million kWh per year to the national power grid.
